Paint a board workshop at the ‘Shellharbour Rocks the village festival’

Here is a story from one of my SurfPaints, workshops.

On the weekend, we were lucky enough to get involved with ‘Shellharbour Rocks the village festival’ for their surf and skate section of the event.

Some sweet painted helmets

We had a SurfPaints tent set up right close to the action, which was directly behind the epic skate bowl, and we got to watch some A-class skating get thrown down while the DJ pumped some tunes.

Participants who came down could bring their own equipment and get the chance to paint their dream designs for free with the guidance of a SurfPaints professional. had some sweet designs get drawn on river rocks, scooters, helmets, skateboards and BMX bikes.

Gromies getting stuck in on some sweet artworks

But don't worry if you forgot to bring something down, we had the best design competition running using our paper templates, or The SurfPaints team had a handful of old Surfboards, skateboards and fins that usually would end up in landfill, prepped and ready to go so you could have a play and experience what painting on these crafts feels like.

Overall this was such a fun day, and all participants went home stoked.
